If you guys remember, just a few days ago, we reported about the IceUniverse claim, that the upcoming Galaxy S22 Ultra would borrow, the Galaxy Note series’ signature design, and that it would also feature a dedicated slot for the S-pen.
Now today, OnLeaks has published renders of the Galaxy S22 Ultra, that corroborate Ice Universe’s claims ,and proves what he claimed was indeed true. As the images show, the Galaxy S22 Ultra looks more like the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, than the predecessor of Galaxy S21 Ultra. In effect, it seems like Samsung has decided to release the next Galaxy Note smartphones, under the Galaxy S series ,since we can’t find any trace of S series design elements.
According to Onleaks ,the Galaxy S22 Ultra measures 163.2 x 77.9 x 8.9 mm, and houses a 6.8-inch display. Which means, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will be shorter than the Galaxy S21 Ultra and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, but would be as wide as the Galaxy S21 Ultra. meanwhile ,it would be thicker than both of them, probably to accommodate the rumoured 5000mAh battery.
As rumoured by IceUniverse, the renders show the Galaxy S22 Ultra, indeed houses an S Pen and a dedicated slot for it, and this time, we expect it to support all features of the S pen on the Note 20. However, For some strange reason, the company has opted for a P-shaped camera housing, a shape that some people have linked to a thumbs down. And that’s the only thing that we would like Samsung to rethink in terms of design. Personally ,I would prefer a note 20 Ultra’s camera bump design over this, any day, while the Rest of the design looks pretty neat.
